Al-Sarraj hails success of LPDF in choosing new executive authority in Libya

The Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj has commended the success of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) in reaching the selection of a new executive authority, which will manage the country’s affairs temporarily until the end of this year.

“I congratulate those who have been chosen to assume responsibilities in the new Presidential Council and to head the National Unity Government”, Al-Sarraj added, wishing them success.

He also called them to take responsibility in this difficult circumstance, expressing his hope that they would work during the next phase to provide the appropriate conditions for holding the elections as scheduled, according to Al-Sarraj’s media office.

In the same context, the unsuccessful candidates also welcomed the electoral process conducted by the LPDF and the election of a new executive authority, wishing it success in its future tasks.

The messages of support for the new government and the Presidential Council came from Fathi Bashaga, Aqila Saleh, Usama Al-Juwaili, Salah Al-Din Al-Nmroush, Ahmed Maiteeq, and others.
