Meetings Between Libyan and Egyptian Foreign Ministries Continue to Resolve Outstanding Issues Between Libya and Egypt.

The ministry explained that as part of the promotion of Libyan-Egyptian relations and the consolidation and opening of wider horizons, held at the Egyptian Foreign Ministry meeting, the third of its kind between the Charge Daffairs of the embassy of the State of Libya in Cairo ” Tarek Misbah al-Hawij”, and Ambassador Nabil Al Habshi, Assistant Foreign Minister for Protocol affairs and Ambassador Amr Abbas, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs and Egyptians abroad and representatives of the Desk of Libyan Affairs at the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, to discuss these outstanding files, and follow up on what was agreed between the foreign ministries of the two countries during the visit of the Egyptian delegation late December to Libya, and the continous coordination between foreign minister “Mohamed Taher Siala” and his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry.

Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister Ambassador Nabil Al-Habshi stressed during the meeting the depth of historical relations between the two brotherly countries and the extent of their interdependence and the need to work to strengthen, and consolidate this relationship for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples. It was agreed that the meetings would continue to be held in succession to address and resolve all outstanding issues between the two brotherly countries.
