A conversation on Guyana and its emerging role as a leader on energy, climate-change, and food-security issues. This hybrid event takes place on Thursday, September 14th at 10:15 a.m.
Please join the Caribbean Initiative at the Atlantic Council on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 10:15 a.m. ET for an #ACFrontPage conversation with Guyanese President Irfaan Ali.
Guyana is rapidly emerging as a regional and global leader. The country’s growing energy sector, track record of protecting its environment, and role in strengthening food security for the Caribbean have catapulted Guyana into spotlight. With this growing international platform, opportunities exist to shape global decision making and outcomes from world events.
Ali will discuss plans to expand Guyana’s leadership and influence worldwide, in the hopes of cementing a place for itself and other Small Island Developing States on the global stage.
The Caribbean Initiative at the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center is pleased to present this event as part of the #ACFrontPage event series, our premier ideas platform spotlighting global leaders and championing constructive solutions to global challenges. This conversation will take place in person at Atlantic Council headquarters and will be broadcast on YouTube, X (formerly known as Twitter), Facebook, and LinkedIn. Please register to join us in person at 10:15 a.m. ET. You may also join the conversation on X by using #ACFrontPage and #ACCaribbean.
